Well what a crazy and exciting time we’re having up here in the sunny north! Habo has taken Glasgow by storm in the past year and seems to be going from strength to strength. Running every Sunday for 11-13 year olds, we quickly became one of the most popular youth movements in Glasgow (in the first half of the year we averaged an amazing 18 chanachim per session!). Some of the activities the chanichim have got up to include: a Habo Apprentice, where the kids had to design the new ‘must-have’ product for Israel tour; taking part in a room sized board game of Israel; making their own ice cream from scratch by using some culinary magic and of course, a massive tournament of UCC. An upcoming event we are all very excited about is Glasgow’s first Habo Friday night dinner. It should be a great night of all the chanachim and madrichim coming together for a really meaningful and enjoyable time. And it is not just with Ken that Glasgow is beginning to make its mark in Habo. This year we have a higher number of participants on Summer events than we have had in an incredibly long time. All in all, I couldn’t be happier with how Habo has taken off up here. It has surpassed all my expectations and I can see Glasgow becoming a big hub of the movement in coming years.
